STRUCTURALISM GEOGRAPHY——An Important School in Western Human Geography

Abstract  Structuralism geography is one of the most important schools and plays a significant role in human geography. Contrasting to the positivism geography and humanistic geography,structuralism geography pays much more attention to the dominant "deep structure" of geographical objects.
This article makes a brief introduction of the development of structuralism geography,then describes in details the methodology of this school. Here places together the three most popular geographical thoughts on philosophical base and compares the structuralism geography with the other two thoughts.
